The Saint Alphonsus Nutrition and Breastfeeding Center offers a comprehensive and innovative program of education, support and professional care to help mothers, babies, children and their families grow and develop in good health.
Outpatient Breastfeeding Clinic
If you need additional help once you are home, you can make an appointment at the Nutrition and Breastfeeding Center to be seen by an International board-certified lactation consultant. Physicians and other healthcare providers may refer you to the Outpatient Breastfeeding Clinic, or you may contact us at 208-367-7380 to schedule an appointment.
Breast Pump Leasing Program and Breastfeeding Retail Products
The Nutrition and Breastfeeding Center offers a Breast Pump Leasing Program and sells retail products that support breastfeeding. Our products include:
- Medela and Ameda Double Electric Pumps
- Medela Nursing Bras
- Breastmilk Storage Bags
- Nursing Stools and Pillows
- Supplemental Nursing Systems
- Comfort Gels
- Reusable Nursing Pads
- Breast Pump Kits and Parts
When leasing or purchasing a product through our center, a lactation consultant is available, without charge to you, to answer your questions about your purchased products. Call 208-367-7380 to arrange a time.
Telephone Breastfeeding Information and Support
If you have questions about breastfeeding, we encourage you to call the Nutrition and Breastfeeding Center at 208-367-7380. There is no fee for this service.
Breastfeeding Support Group for Mothers and Babies
This group is facilitated by a lactation consultant and meets weekly on Tuesdays, from 11:00 a.m. to 12 noon, at the Family Center; 900 N. Liberty, Suite 100, in Boise. No need to register. Free. This group provides an opportunity for new mothers to ask questions and share information and feelings in a safe, nonjudgmental and supportive atmosphere.
